Day 5 and The Pizitz Food Hall is still going strong.
The Revelator sign went up today, and it looks great!
We all know Sunday brunch is hard to find in Bham. It seemed like a lot of Birminghamsters had the same idea at the same time. Here’s what the crowd looked like around 11:30am:
Walking around the room, I noted that brunch options included grilled sandwiches from Busy Corner Cheese, chicken and waffles from Waffle Works, and of course, Tropicaleo.
Tropicaleo is doing all day brunch on Sunday. Here’s their brunch menu:
We waited till dinner to try their breakfast sandwich. The owner, Gabriel, told me his daughter calls it “the best sandwich in the world.” We can understand why: perfectly crisp Alabama bacon with melted cheese and a fried egg on their amazing bread. Perfect for brunch at brunch time or anytime.
A close up. Check out that bacon and that perfectly grilled bread.

My wife and I are planning a meet and eat on Sunday. Are all the vendors going to be open or only some? I haven’t been able to find a complete listing and their hours of operation. Also, Is there a Facebook or Insta page to follow?

Hi there! Not all of the vendors in the food hall are open yet in general, but of those that have opened, many should be available on Sunday. Just come between 11a-6p to be sure you get the best selection. Some close a little earlier on Sunday.

And yes, there is a website, FB page, and insta. As of tomorrow, the following places are open: Ono Poke, busy Corner cheese, revelator, Tropicaleo, Elis Jerusalem grill, Ichicoro ramen, waffle works, choza taqueria, and the bar.

In an earlier post about the food hall, you had said there would be a restaurant serving Korean bi bim bop. Will this be happening? Is there a place in town to get it?
deepsouthfoodie
Unfortunately no, not in Pizitz. Seoul Garden on green springs has it.
